Saint
Matthew’s
is
a
grade
II*
listed
building.
It
was
designed
by
Robert
Johnson
and
built
over
fifteen
years
from
1880.
It
is
considered
by
many
one
to
be
of
the
finest
Victorian
buildings
in
the
Northeast.
It contains a goodly quantity of Kempe glass, but its greatest glory is the building itself.
If
you
are
coming
to
pray,
the
Sacrament
is
reserved
(should
you
wish
to

the

If you are looking around, please be sensitive to the needs of any who might be praying.
The building is also open for Mass every day; times can be found on the Liturgy page.
