is
the
anniversary
of
the
death
of
Father
Robert
Daunt,
the
first
Vicar
and
founder
of
the
parish
of
Saint
Matthew,
Newcastle.
He
was
instrumental
in
laying
down
the
tradition
of
the
parish
to
which we are the heirs.
On
the
day
of
his
death
some
members
of
the
congregations
went
to
visit
his
grave
in
Elswick
Cemetry
and say some brief prayers for him.
The next day, we sung a Requiem Mass for him.
